Hello, Church Family; In light of the Provincial health orders issued yesterday, we must put our IN-person activities on pause again. From the order (CBC website):

  • All indoor and outdoor community and social events suspended for the next two weeks, even if they’re under 50 people.
  • In-person faith services suspended.

Our Church at Home Livestream online service will be broadcast at 10:30 am Sundays. We have already tweaked a few things after the Livestream premiere to improve it; the words to the worship songs will now appear on the screen at the bottom, and the sermon PowerPoint will be in a window on your screen, with the pastor beside, similar to our pre-recorded Church at Home through the summer. We’ll also be adjusting the sound levels to make sure the singers, instruments, and speakers can all be heard at acceptable volume levels. Thanks for your feedback -pardon the pun!

The provincial order is in effect until December 7. We pray that it won’t be extended, but it depends on the number of new cases of COVID daily.

Please remember to pray for those in authority – that’s biblical!
A friend of mine pastoring in another community had this interesting observation: The Church, of all people, needs to respond with great grace and wisdom in this time, being careful of our attitude and our conversations, remembering the Word of God is still our plumbline. Let our conversations be filled with grace and seasoned with salt! Lord, give us grace and wisdom.
Let’s also remember to fix our eyes on Jesus! As Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 4:7-10, But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard-pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.
Thank you for your faithfulness, and your passion to see Jesus exalted.
